We offer many different training options for our clients. Please review the options listed below and choose the option that best fits your needs. View the tabs below to see how each user group is typically trained. If necessary, download the “Training Request Form“ and fax it to us at 651.345.2215.

Instructional Videos We have a variety of instructional videos for you to watch at Instructional Videos. These videos are an excellent first step for training. For many people, this will be all the training you will need. If you need additional training, the videos you have watched will make that additional training more efficient.
Cost: Free
Set-up time: None, but you may need to download Flash Player to your computer if you don’t already have it installed. Download Flash player. -
Web Training A Web Training gives you the ability to receive individual training without needing a JMC trainer to come to your school. The Web Training software allows us to control or see your computer screen, with your permission, while we talk with you on the phone. These can be done for individuals or groups but a phone must be located near the computer for this option to work. Typically we will have you watch any pertinent instructional videos prior to the Web Training.
Cost: Free.
Set-up time: Please schedule a Web Training one - two weeks before you would like the training by faxing the form below to us. There is a five to ten minute set-up time to load the Web Training software onto your computer. The Web Training software is free to you. Web Trainings for large groups also require set-up time for sound amplification. Please download the Web Training set-up guide by clicking here. -
JMC Home Office Training – Lake City, Minnesota We are able to host your group at our home office in Lake City, Minnesota. This option gives you the ability to schedule a time to receive training at our home office for individuals or groups as large as ten. Typically we will have you watch any pertinent instructional videos prior to the Home Office Training.
Cost: Free
Set-up time: Please schedule a JMC Home Office Training two weeks before you would like to receive the training by faxing the form below to us. -
On-Site Training
Due to the overwhelming response to our web-trainings we no longer offer on-site training. Web-trainings are a free alternative that have met the needs of our clients from individuals to large groups. In certain circumstances you can still request on-site training by contacting JMC.
If you are a new teacher complete the following steps to learn how to use the classroom attendance and grading components of JMC.
1. Instructional Videos - To view an instructional video click on its name.
The following instructional videos will give you great overview of the IP GradeBook and Online Classroom Attendance Entry (CAE)
- Intro to the IP GradeBook Part 1: Learn basic IP GradeBook information including setting up grade cuttoffs, categories and assignments, entering scores and more.
- Intro to the IP GradeBook Part 2: Learn about progress reports, parent access, and emailing parents.
- Intro to the IP GradeBook Part 3: Learn how to send end of term grades to the office, calculate exam grades, and review IP GradeBook preferences.
- Online Teacher Attendance: Learn how take daily attendance from your classroom computer.
2. Download the Documentation
The documentation for the IP GradeBook is extensive and complete. Many teachers will download it as a PDF to their desktop and view it on their computer as a reference tool instead of printing it out.

3. Become Familiar With the Teachers User Page

4. View Other Resources
Listed here are some other resources available to you. These resources do not need to be viewed to understand and use the IP GradeBook but they do explore some parts of the IP GradeBook in greater depth.
- Seating Charts: This instructional video will show you how to use seating charts.
- Demo GradeBook: Some teachers may want to try out a demo gradebook before they start using their own. Click here to go to the Teachers user page and then click on the Demo GradeBook tab. Follow the instructions there to download and use the Demo GradeBook.
If you are a new Secretary/Office Professional you can learn how to use the office program by completing the following steps.

- Explore the Office Program after you have watched the instructional videos to gain familiarity with the program.
- Download and review the Starting the 2013 - 2014 School Year Checklist - This checklist is the tool every school office should use to make sure they are starting the school year correctly. This lays out all the steps that need to be taken to start the school year in a simple-to-understand and easy-to-follow format. Available Summer 2013
- Make yourself familiar with the Office Professionals user page. As we add new features to JMC, resources for these features will be listed on this page if they are applicable to Office Professionals.
- Download pertinent documentation by going to the Documentation page.

1. Office Intro Videos If you are new to JMC and want a good starting point, the Office Intro videos are the place to start. These videos will give you an overview of the most important aspects of the Attendance module, such as working with student information, parent information, mailing labels, user privileges, emailing parents and much more.
2. Period Attendance If your school has the teachers taking daily attendance in their classroom via JMC's CAE (Classroom Attendance Entry) it is important for you to become familiar with the process. This instructional video with give you a complete overview of the Period Attendance module.
3. Student Enrollment - Adding and Dropping Students Currently there is no instructional video for Adding and Dropping students but Student Enrollment is very important for any school that receives state funding because that funding is typically tied to student enrollment. At this time the Secretary/Office Professionals page has a tab dedicated to Student Enrollment. Click here to go to the Secretary/Office Professionals page.
4. Student Lists JMC has about 100 predetermined reports already set up for you. We also give you the ability to create your own reports with the Student Lists function. These 100% customizable reports are also exportable to a text file so you can import them to a spreadsheet program to work with the data.

You are also able to attach hand-typed comments to each discipline record to have even more flexibility in your discipline tracking records.

- (Optional) Practice the POS or Lunch module with a demo school - Are you interested in trying a demonstration copy of the POS (Point of Sale) program or the Lunch module in the JMC office program? You can follow the directions on the Food Service Professionals page under the "Practice" tab. Many clients find it very helpful to practice the POS before school starts.
