The Internet and World Wide Web have opened the door to easier access for teachers and administrators, and now students and parents, to student information from your JMC database! Students and parents will be able to sign into the system wherever they have web access - home, office, library, etc... See below for a list of Online modules currently available. Online Course Registration - Allows students to register for courses for the new school year. The student requests are updated and available immediately in the JMC office application. Online Classroom Attendance Entry - Allows teachers to enter their hourly attendance via their web browser. The reported attendance is updated and available immediately in the JMC office application. This Online module replaces the CAE program, which means no more Attendance Drop folder, no more CAE programs to install, no more setting teacher access rights to the JMC data folder, and no more mounted volumes on the teacher computer. All the teacher needs is a web browser. The MacOS (*) and the Windows (**) versions are both available now.

Online Parent Accessmodule - Allows access to student attendance, student report cards, and contact/directory information, and High Standard progress reports for Minnesota Schools. All the parent needs is a web browser. The MacOS (*) and the Windows (**) versions are both available now.

Online GradeBook module - Allows teachers to enter grades in a fully integrated daily gradebook for recording assignments, extra credit, and developing progress reports. Now has the ability to send progress reports to the office electronically for collating and printing in the office!

(*) The MacOS version of the Online software is delivered as a CGI (Common Gateway Interface) and works with most MacOS web server software. Some commonly used MacOS web server software packages include AppleShareIP (commercial), WebSTAR (commercial), and Quid Pro Quo (freeware).
(**) The Windows version of the Online software is an ISAPI server application implemented as a Dynamic Link Library (DLL). This internet server application (ISA) will work with the Internet Information Server (IIS) built into WindowsNT and Windows2000 and should work with any other ISAPI-compliant web server software.
