2006-2007 Update History

As new features become available for the JMC Office Application, updates to the software will be posted on our web site. To determine whether you may want to update your JMC Office Application, locate the build date for your software and then check below to see if a newer build is available and, if so, what new features are available in the newer build.

If a newer build is available and you wish to download the update, click on the correct link on the software download page to begin the download process.

Wisconsin - ISES	Fall 07 Changes	Changes/Additions were made for Fall 2007 State Reporting. Please note that both the 06-07 and 07-08 JMC Office Applications have been updated for Fall 2007 reporting.
Wisconsin - ISES	Discipline Incidents and Removals	Student Discipline Incidents and Removals records and related screens have been revised for Fall 2007 reporting. Incidents and Removals may also be viewed and edited from the Discipline module by selecting Discipline - Data - Edit Student Records
Wisconsin - ISES	WSLS Locate / Assign Transactions	When creating a file for WSLS Locate / Assign Transactions, the user may choose whether to include the student local IDs.

Send Messages	From Address Display Name	When sending emails from the JMC Office software the program now shows the Reply To email address as the From address display name. This fixes a situation where some email client software would not show the From name and mistakenly tag emails as spam.
Minnesota	Import Basic Standards Results	The import procedure will now recognize mixed test result files (files with results from more than one type of test).
Minnesota	Import MCA Results	The import procedure will now recognize mixed test result files (files with results from more than one type of test).
NWEA CRF	NWEA CRF Export File	"Spring 2006" was showing up in the export file for 2006-2007. This has been changed to "Spring 2007".
Print Schedules	Print Schedules	In the Windows version the previewed schedules sometimes had the term separator line out of place. Printing was correct. This update corrects the preview.

PaySchools	PaySchools Service Server Change	The PaySchools online payments server IP address changed April 20, 2007. Since the JMC Online Lunch software uses the PaySchools IP address as part of its online deposit validation, JMC/PaySchools users will need to update their online software to continue to receive online deposits.

Lunch	Lunch Claims Edit Check	Updated report with option to analyze breakfast as well as lunch. The report also now provides additional detail for each day in report range.

IP GradeBook	Email Progress Reports	The summary of who was/wasn't emailed was blank. This has been corrected. Please update the Online software.
Emailing	Send Email Messages	Files can now be attached and sent to the email message.
Emailing	Multiple Email Addresses	If a contact has two email addresses separated by a comma, both email addresses will receive a copy of the email message.
Lunch	Lunch Status	Additional status types were added: Application Received, Determination Made, Eligibility Notification Letter Generated/Sent.
Lunch	Online Deposits	Online Deposits are now marked with check number "WEB" for easy referencing.

Lunch	Claims Edit Check report	This new report may be used to analyze the reasonableness of free and reduced lunch claims for reimbursement by utilizing attendance, lunch status, and meals served information.
Lunch	Summary Report	The Summary report now displays the Check number for deposits.
Lunch	Lunch Status Report	The Lunch Status report will now include any existing free/reduced status discrepancies.
Emailing	SMTP Authentication	The software can now utilize SMTP Authentication to log into your SMTP server. Use FILE:ADMINISTRATOR OPTIONS to set the SMTP User ID and Password. If teachers email progress reports then please also update your Online software.
Emailing	Send Email Messages	Send Email Messages now emails a copy of the email back to the Reply-To address for archival purposes.
Online Server - Mac OS version	Display Listening IPs and Port numbers.	This update will display all listening IP addresses and port numbers on the main screen for quick reference.
Iowa - Project EASIER	Transfer Credits	Transcript courses marked as "Transfer Credit"s are no longer captured in the EASIER extract file.
Iowa - Project EASIER	Barcode Extract	Fixed an issue in reporting Full Academic Year (for District not Building) status.
Prerequisites	Edit Prerequisites	Added an Import button to import prerequisite settings from the prior year.

Grading	Custom Report Cards	Custom Report Card forms can be designed and printed. Use Grades:Reports:Design Report Card Forms to design the forms. Use Grades:Reports:Print Report Card Forms to print the forms.

Online Server - Mac OS version	Emailing Progress Reports	Fixed an issue affecting the Mac OS version of the Online Server software. The server would become unresponsive when teachers attempted to email progress reports. This has been fixed.

MN - MARSS	Calculate Attendance	The software will attempt to calculate Attendance and Membership for all appropriate enrollment records. In prior versions, if the first enrollment record was not calculated then all records for the student were skipped.

IA - Project EASIER	Auto-generate Enrollment History	When Adding, Dropping, or Re-entering a student in attendance the software will auto-generate a corresponding Enrollment History record.
IA - Project EASIER	Lists - Enrollment History	Student Enrollment History data has been added to the Lists screen. Reports can be generated based upon Current Enrollment Status (as of a requested date) or entire student enrollment histories.
MN - MARSS	Start Date for SAC 41-46	The software will no longer auto-update Status Start Date in MARSS enrollment records for Preschool Screened (SAC 41-45) and ESY (SAC 46).
General	Lists - Include Inactives	A new option on the Lists screen allows control of printing Active students, Inactive students, or Both.
General	Lists - Health History	Health History data has been added to the Lists screen.

Online	Online Settings	All web-based Online Access modules are now controlled from within the Office program using File:Online Settings. This one screen now gives you the ability to enable/disable modules and to tweak the settings of each module. New features were added for existing Online modules and can be enabled from this screen. Please update both the Office and Online software to take advantage of these new features.
Online	Online Attendance	Use the new Online Settings screen to optionally allow teachers to report the reason for student absences via Online Attendance. Please update both the Office and Online software to take advantage of these new features.
Online	Online Report Cards	Use the new Online Settings screen to adjust settings for Online Report Cards (viewed via Online Parent and Online Student). Settings include Report Card Term, Term GPA, Year GPA, and Cumulative GPA. Please update both the Office and Online software to take advantage of these new features.
Online	Online Student Access	A new module has been added to allow student access to Attendance, Report Cards, Progress Reports, and Lunch account history. A student uses his/her username and password (assigned on the Edit Student Data:Email tab) to log into Online Student. Use the new Online Settings screen to adjust settings for Online Student access. Append "?module=student" to your URLs to access this new module. Please update both the Office and Online software to take advantage of these new features.
Online	Online Parent	Online Parent Access can now be used by Primary Contacts regardless of their Include in Mailings state. Please update both the Office and Online software to take advantage of these new features.

Schedules	Edit Schedules	A Print Schedule button has been added to the Edit Schedules screen so a student's schedule can be printed without leaving the screen immediately after making edits.
Schedules	Schedule Students	The order in which students are scheduled has been changed. The order is random within each grade level, in descending grade order, highest grade level first. This change was made for fairness when capacity limits are used.

Period Attendance	Half- and Full-day Cutoffs	Expanded the half- and full-day cutoffs so they can be defined individually for each grade level. To use this new software feature please download both the new Office software and updated Online software for 05-06.
