2008-2009 GradeBook Release Notes

As new features become available for the JMC GradeBook, updates to the software will be posted on our web site. To determine whether you may want to update your GradeBook, locate the build date for your software (main screen of program) and then check below to see if a newer build is available and, if so, what new features are available in the newer build.

If a newer build is available and you wish to download the update, click on the correct link on the software download page to begin the download process.

Edit Scores

Multiple Scores for a student

In some cases, deleting a score would not remove the score (referred to as a duplicate-score issue). This has been fixed.

Standards and Benchmarks

Extra Credit Scores

Standards and Benchmarks Results Calculations now correctly consider extra credit scores.

Edit Assessments for a Student

Messages and Limits

Context-sensitive message appear that help the teacher enter their assessments sets correctly with regrad to appropriate dates and/or terms. In some cases, the teacher will not be permitted to create an assessment set for a specific date/term combination, whereas in other cases the teacher will be notified of potential problems with their choices.

Limit Assessment Sets

A new preference setting is used to enable/disable the teacher to multiple assessment set per term. By default this option is enabled, thus keeping the teacher from entering multiple assessment sets per term. To disable this option, click on the checkbox on the Preferences screen to "Allow Multiple Dates Per Term in Assessment Sets".
