5. Printing Transfer Courses on Transcripts

As the 08-09 School Year comes closer to an end, there are a few things you should do to "wrap up" the school year. Here are those items.

1. Make sure that all of your Transcript information is up-to-date. Go to Grades: Transcripts: Bring 07-08 Up To Date. This will take all grading information from the 07-08 Data Folder and transfer it to the Transcript Folder.

2. If you use the Health Module and have not "Transferred Student Health Records" you must do so. The 08-09 Health module will not function if you have not transferred the student health records in your 07-08 Office Program. The Health Documentation (See appendix B) and the "New JMC Health Features" instructional video cover this topic to help guide you through the process. If you have any questions about this process, please call us.

You can download the Health Documentation by clicking the link below:

You can view the video by clicking the link below and choosing the "New JMC Health Features". (Please note: You must have Quicktime installed on your computer to be able to view the video.)

Build 050708 is Now Available for Download!
The newest JMC Office 07-08 Office Update is now available. Please update your office programs to access the new features listed in this newsletter.
2. Getting Ready for the 08-09 School Year

The "Getting Ready for 08-09" form to complete in preparation for the 2008 -2009 school year is now available. It can be downloaded from our web site or directly at:
http://www.jmcinc.com/Getting_Ready_08-09.pdf

This document must be completed before we can prepare your 08-09 database. If you send your files to JMC for the move-up but do not send in this document, your data will not be moved up.

You can fax or mail this sheet as in the past. As another option, you can type into the pdf document and send it as an email attachment. If you are not able to type into the document we recommend that you print it, complete it, and fax it to us.

The JMC fax number is: 651.345.2215

3. Additional Update to the Health Module

The JMC Health Module has been updated again to include requests from users. Some of those updates are listed below:

A. Immunization labels can now be printed. The new labels include a second varicella. Also, there is a "Show Extra Immunizations" checkbox option. If this is checked, Meningococcal, Pneumococcal, Hepititas A, and HPV vaccines will be included as well.

B. Latex, Shellfish, Eggs, and Gluten (Wheat) have been added to the allergen list.

C. DTP, Polio, Td, Meningococcal, and Pneumococcal "families" were added to the immunizations menu. This allows you to choose one of those immunizations as a family instead of picking the actual immunization type if it is unknown or does not need to be recorded.

Please contact us with any technical support questions at 1.800.524.8182. We are looking for feedback on the new updates. If there are any reports or additional fields that you would like to see added, please contact us.

Any schools who do not currently use the Health Module but are interested in learning more about it can call us at 1.800.524.8182.

4. Minnesota - MCA & BST Results

MCA and BST Results will now be displayed, edited, and printed with all other test results in Grades: Transcripts: Edit Test Scores.

BST's have also been added to the Student Lists function. This means that Student List reports can now be run to include test result information from the BST's.

5. Printing Transfer Courses on Transcripts

When printing student Transcripts, transfer courses will now be "flagged" on the Transcript form.
